What do you need to do, accomplish, attain or let go of before you can become enlightened?
I am fascinated by the belief systems that people hold about enlightenment and spiritual self realization. It informs the path they take in their careers as spiritual seekers. What do you believe is the reason you are not enlightened right now?
Purity: you need to purify your body, thoughts, emotions, diet, habits, actions
Karma: another form of purity, but it often leads to a different seeking path
Information: you lack the information to be enlightened, so you have to keep reading, learning new techniques or looking for someone to say the perfect words in the perfect order so you will finally “get it”
Time: it takes many lifetimes of something…seeking, gaining merit, being “in service”
Secret Sauce: you have yet to find the right fully enlightened being to activate your kundalini, to touch your crown chakra and confer realization, to give you your special mantra or reveal a secret teaching or…
External forces: modern society makes it impossible to awaken, we are living in a spiritual dark age, we are kept down by hostile ET races, the government, chemicals in the air or drinking water, EMF, archonic influence…
For those of you who are not awakened already, do you have beliefs about why that is? I’m not asking you to give up your beliefs, but it will be fruitful if you can identify and examine them objectively. Many people don’t even realize they have these powerful beliefs, and once they are identified, they defend the reason why they are not enlightened as if their lives depended on it.
What do you believe is preventing you from waking up today?
