I suddenly felt my energy sphere collapse down to my skin.

That’s never happened before, but then again, I’ve never been in a lightning storm of this magnitude. Lightning illuminated the room, through a tiny opening in my blackout drapes. A while later, a thunder clap so preposterously loud and powerful erupted somewhere off in the distance, yet seemed to shake my building. 

I can’t really describe what it feels like to have your energy sphere collapse. I tried to bring it up again, fortify my boundary, but it wouldn’t budge. It clung tight to my body like I was a plastic wrapped papaya. Then something even weirder happened. I started feeling and sensing these “burrs” sticking to my body. They were around 10-12 inches long and shaped like lozenges. 

Do you know what burrs are? Everyone who’s ever been hiking in California would know. Or your dog or cat would run through tall grass and come home with all these burrs stuck in their fur and you’d have to dig them out or risk them burrowing into your pet’s skin. They are large grass seeds with barbs all over them. And these energetic burrs looked and felt just like that. Only, they were huge!

Can thunder blow your ear drums out? 

I never thought so, but now I wonder. The lightning flashes, so incredibly bright. And then I wait to hear the thunder, see if the strikes are getting closer…and they are. The time between lightning and thunder is getting shorter with each strike, until they are nearly paired. And each time it gets closer, and louder, so I have to cover my ears. Every time the thunder hits, I feel my body contract up and off the bed, and more of these burrs are sticking their barbs into me, until I’m just about covered by them. 

The lightning has come as close as it will come, and now it’s moving away. Just as suddenly as it started, the disruption to my system melts away and I’m able to get my energy system up again, blast off the barbs and fill the room with a thick, healing, protective substance.
